Agentic Operations Privacy Policy

This policy describes what the Agentic Operations Academy ("the Academy", "we") collects about you, why, and what your choices are. The Academy is a training platform operated for Cisco solutions-engineering enablement and invited customer cohorts.
What we collect
Account information. Your name, username (typically your work email address), your assigned learner track, and a salted cryptographic hash of your password. We never store your password itself and cannot see it.
Learning records. Lesson completions, quiz attempts and scores, lab submissions (the text you submit), reviewer verdicts and feedback, and badge status. This is the record of your progress through the curriculum — collecting it is the platform's purpose.
Operational data. Standard web server logs (request paths, timestamps, response codes) and, transiently in memory only, the source IP of sign-in attempts for rate limiting. We do not run analytics, advertising, or tracking of any kind.
Cookies. Exactly two, both strictly functional: a session cookie (signed, expiring after 7 days) and a CSRF protection cookie. No tracking cookies, no third-party cookies.
What we do with it
We use your information solely to operate the Academy: authenticating you, tracking your curriculum progress, enabling instructor review of your submissions, and issuing completion badges. Cohort administrators (your instructors and cohort leads) can see your progress, submissions, and review status — that visibility is inherent to instructor-led training.
We do not sell your information. We do not share it with third parties for their own purposes. We do not use your submissions to train AI models.
Where it lives
All data is stored in Amazon Web Services (US West region) on encrypted infrastructure, with automated backups retained for 7 days. Access is limited to Academy administrators.
Your rights and choices
You may request a copy of your data, correction of inaccurate data, or deletion of your account and associated records at any time by contacting your cohort lead or the Academy operator at fburchell@cisco.com. If you are located in a jurisdiction with statutory data-protection rights (such as the GDPR or CCPA), we will honor access, rectification, erasure, and portability requests under those frameworks. Deletion requests are completed within 30 days; note that deleting your account also deletes your progress records and any badge status.
Retention
Learner records are retained for the duration of your training program and up to 24 months afterward (so returning cohorts and recertification have history), unless you request earlier deletion.
Changes
Material changes to this policy will be posted here with a new effective date, and active learners will be notified at sign-in.
